Meanwhile, Secretary Blinken also criticized Russia for attacking civilians during its invasion of Ukraine. He said, "I saw news overnight about the attack on the (Zaporizhzhia) nuclear power plant in Ukraine," adding, "It shows the recklessness of this war, the need to end it, the importance of the withdrawal of all Russian troops, and sincere diplomatic efforts."
