Highest Early Voting Rate Nationwide at the Same Time in Election Standards
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Early voting for the 20th presidential election began on the 4th. As of 7 a.m. that day, the nationwide average turnout rate was recorded at 0.58%.
According to the National Election Commission, as of 7 a.m., 256,521 of the 44,197,692 registered voters nationwide participated in early voting.
The nationwide average early voting rate of 0.58% is the highest at this time for nationwide elections excluding by-elections since the early voting system was first applied to nationwide elections in the June 4, 2014 local elections.
