Kolon Global Reports 4.7495 Trillion KRW in Sales Last Year... "Largest Since Establishment"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] Kolon Global recorded its highest-ever sales last year. The expansion of housing and construction projects in the construction sector is analyzed to have significantly contributed to the performance growth.
Kolon Global announced on the 2nd that its consolidated sales last year reached 4.7495 trillion KRW, a 20.9% increase compared to the previous year. Although all sectors including construction, distribution (automobiles), and trading grew steadily, sales increased particularly due to the expansion of housing and construction projects in the construction sector. The cost ratio improved due to favorable progress and completion of large-scale housing PJTs and execution improvements, resulting in increased profitability. Consequently, sales grew by 7% compared to the previous year.
Steady results were also achieved in regional housing cooperatives, urban maintenance, and private contracting areas, with new orders surpassing 3 trillion KRW for the first time since the company's founding last year.
The order backlog recorded 9.9 trillion KRW, about five times the previous year's construction sector sales.
In the distribution sector, sales increased across all areas including Sales, AS, and BPS (used cars) due to increased SUV sales and reduced discounts.
The trading sector restructured its business focusing on profitability with products such as robots like Nibot and Shakla, and BYD electric forklifts.
