KOTRA Supports K-Startup Global Expansion... Achieved Support for 900 Companies Last Year
Achieved Results in Export, Global Open Innovation PoC (Proof of Concept), and New Employment with KOTRA Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KOTRA announced on the 1st that last year, it supported about 900 domestic startups, achieving ▲$26 million in exports ▲8 cases of global company open innovation PoC (proof of concept) ▲11 overseas subsidiary establishments ▲26 CES 2022 Innovation Awards ▲and 631 new domestic jobs, among other results.
KOTRA has provided various services to help our startups enter overseas markets through 21 startup hubs at overseas trade centers operating in 15 countries. In particular, the overseas trade centers have produced tangible results through the ‘Global Jump 300’ program, which offers one-year customized support for startups’ target country entry, and the ‘Global Open Innovation Entry Support Project,’ which provides startups with collaboration opportunities with global companies.
To further promote overseas expansion opportunities for our startups, KOTRA shares global project information and conducts open collaboration with 108 related organizations, 33 venture capital and accelerator firms, and 42 universities. This year as well, various projects will be promoted to support startups’ overseas expansion needs at each stage, including overseas market testing, securing global references, and connecting with overseas partners.
