Pastor Lee Ungcheon of Dunsan Seonggwang Church Donates 100 Million Won to Mokwon University Development Fund
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Mokwon University announced on the 28th that it received a university development fund of 100 million KRW from Pastor Lee Woong-cheon, senior pastor of Dunsan Seonggwang Church in Daejeon (Honorary Doctor of Theology).
Pastor Lee also donated 100 million KRW to the university in 2011. He has continued to support the university by sponsoring the Theology Research Institute and the International Student Mission Committee.
Dunsan Seonggwang Church was founded by Pastor Lee’s father, the late Chairman Lee Yoo-sik (former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Methodist School Foundation), and has grown into a representative Methodist church in Daejeon.
The late Chairman Lee Yoo-sik played a role in relocating Mokwon University from the Mokdong campus to its current Doan-dong campus during his tenure as chairman.
