Lamborghini's Super Sports Car Lineup Wins Major Awards Worldwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Lamborghini announced on the 28th that its super sports car model lineup achieved more than double the number of awards compared to 2019.
The Lamborghini Urus was selected as the best model in the large SUV category for two consecutive years at the ‘Best Car’ awards hosted by the highly prestigious European magazine ‘Auto Motor und Sport,’ which involved readers from across Europe. It was also chosen as the best SUV at the awards hosted by Germany’s Sport Auto magazine and received the ‘Best Luxury SUV’ award at the Off-Road Awards conducted by Off-Road magazine.
Not only the Urus, but Lamborghini’s flagship V10 super sports car lineup, the Hurac?n lineup, also received positive evaluations by achieving numerous awards worldwide. The Hurac?n Evo RWD was named ‘Sports Car of the Year’ by the renowned American luxury lifestyle magazine Robb Report and India’s automotive magazine Car and Bike.
In particular, the Hurac?n STO, which was unveiled worldwide for the first time in 2020 and completed the Hurac?n lineup, won ‘Sports Car of the Year’ and ‘Best Engine Award’ from the French automotive magazine Motorsport. It was also selected as the ‘Best Track Weapon of 2021’ by the American online media CarBuzz.

Meanwhile, Lamborghini delivered 8,405 units to customers worldwide last year, along with a series of awards in major global markets. It achieved a 13% increase in sales compared to the previous year (2020: 7,430 units), setting a record high. The Lamborghini Urus maintained strong sales with 5,021 units sold, while the V10 Hurac?n lineup achieved steady sales with 2,586 units sold. The Aventador was also delivered in 798 units worldwide.
