Hyundai Motor Group University Student Volunteer Corps Launch Ceremony... 400 Participants This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 25th that it held the launch ceremony for the 9th term of the university student volunteer group H Jump School. This program aims to nurture future university talents and address educational blind spots among youth. Attendees at the launch ceremony held the previous day included Lee Byung-hoon, Executive Director of Hyundai Motor Company, Park Nam-chun, Director of the SI Education Center at Seoul Women's University, and Lee Ui-heon, Chairman of the Jump Foundation. University student volunteers participated online.
The program assigns university student mentors to assist education for underprivileged youth. Selected student mentors receive mentoring and scholarships from Hyundai Motor Group employees and professionals in society. The scale of the program has increased with each term, with 400 participants in the 9th term. Starting next month, over 10 months, customized education and career mentoring will be provided across all subjects to approximately 1,600 youths.

University student volunteers receive a scholarship of 3 million KRW and one-on-one mentoring benefits with a social mentor group composed of about 700 Hyundai Motor Group employees and experts from various fields. Outstanding participants also have opportunities for overseas exploration. Since its inception in 2013, the program has selected 1,532 university student mentors and provided education to 5,306 youths from low-income and multicultural families.
