Yeongyang-gun, New Resident Briefing on Designation of Singu and Wonri Natural Disaster Risk Improvement Zones

The Singu Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District is a flood-affected inundation area where flood delays and overtopping occurred due to insufficient embankment height along the Singu Stream floodplain and insufficient cross-section of the BOX passing under National Road 31 located downstream.
The Won-ri Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District is an area where flooding occurred due to concentrated stormwater at the confluence of Hwamae Stream and Songha Stream and insufficient embankment height.
Yeongyang-gun plans to newly include these districts in the mid-term plan for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project.
During this briefing session, the purpose of the new designation of the Natural Disaster Risk Improvement Districts and the project plans were explained to the village residents, followed by a Q&A session addressing residents' opinions.
