Ulsan City, selected as the 14th Chair Organization at the 13th online general meeting last August, plans to hold the 13th Working Committee Meeting at UECO from September 20 to 22.
The 13th Working Committee Meeting will be attended by about 100 director-level executives from 79 member organizations across six Northeast Asian countries to discuss ways to promote exchange, cooperation, and joint development among Northeast Asian regional governments.
The city plans to hold the 13th Working Committee Meeting as an in-person event, prioritizing quarantine, medical care, and safety.
An official from Ulsan City said, “Our city successfully hosted the ‘3rd Korea-Russia Local Cooperation Forum’ last November,” adding, “Through the successful hosting of consecutive international conferences, we will continue to enhance the status of Ulsan as an international city.”
The Association of North East Asia Regional Government was established in 1996 as a multilateral exchange platform among local governments in Northeast Asia, initially with 29 metropolitan governments from four countries (Korea, China, Japan, Russia), and currently includes 79 metropolitan governments from six Northeast Asian countries. It is regarded as the ‘United Nations of Northeast Asian local governments.’
