[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The South Korean four-man bobsleigh teams led by Won Yoonjong and Seok Youngjin continued their great challenge. Among the two teams, Won Yoonjong's team advanced to the 4th run.
The Won Yoonjong team, consisting of pilot Won Yoonjong, Kim Jinsu, Kim Donghyun (both from Gangwon Provincial Office), and Jung Hyunwoo (Korea National Sport University), finished the third run of the men's four-man bobsleigh at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics with a time of 59.38 seconds at the National Sliding Center in Yanqing, Beijing, China on the 20th (Korean time).
Previously, the Won Yoonjong team recorded a combined time of 2 minutes 58.43 seconds in the first and second runs held on the 19th, maintaining 18th place in the third run. They secured a ticket to advance to the 4th run, which includes the top 20 teams. However, their record is practically far from the medal zone.
The Seok Youngjin team, composed of pilot Seok Youngjin (Gangwon Provincial Office), Kim Taeyang (Korea National Sport University), Kim Hyeonggeun (Gangwon BS Gyeonggi Federation), Shin Yechan (Korea National Sport University), and Park Changhyun (Catholic Kwandong University), recorded 59.91 seconds in the third run.
With a total time of 2 minutes 59.96 seconds for the first, second, and third runs, the Seok Youngjin team ranked 25th and concluded their competition after the third run.
