Additional 3.5 Trillion Won Added to Government's 14 Trillion Won Plan
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Song Young-gil, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, announced on the 19th that the supplementary budget bill is planned to be passed in the plenary session at a scale of 17.5 trillion won.
On the same day, during a campaign in Sokcho and Yangyang, Gangwon Province, Song said, "We reluctantly added 3.5 trillion won to the 14 trillion won submitted by the government."
He added, "We expanded the scope to include 3.2 million small business owners receiving 3 million won each, individual taxi drivers, corporate taxi drivers, special employment workers, and simplified taxpayers with income under 80 million won."
Song stated, "Along with the supplementary budget, we will extend the maturity of the 130 trillion won debt of our ordinary citizens by six months," and added, "Any shortcomings will be further supplemented during the Lee Jae-myung administration to strongly protect our small business owners and self-employed."
Targeting Yoon Seok-youl, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, he criticized, "Yoon Seok-youl was not raised by the people but was poorly raised by President Moon Jae-in; he is not a candidate called forth by the people but by Geonjin Beopsa and shamans."
In particular, he appealed to "the respected Christian leaders of our country," saying, "Pastors, including Pastor Kim Jang-hwan, who criticize Shincheonji whenever they have time, how can they support a candidate who is backed by Shincheonji? Wake up."
Continuing, Song referred to the allegations surrounding the Daejang-dong development in Seongnam City, saying, "I understand that those from Sungkyunkwan University all benefited during Park Geun-hye's administration," and added, "These people are all connected; prosecutors and judges, together with legal reporters, the media, and the prosecution, formed the so-called Daejang-dong gate."
