Abko Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Pet Tech Company Littlecat
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Abko is making a full-scale entry into the domestic pet market.
Abko announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Little Cat, a specialized company in digital healthcare platforms for pets.
Abko will conduct its pet business using the home appliance brand OHELLA. OHELLA is a small home appliance brand launched in 2019. It is rapidly growing by quickly reflecting changes in consumer lifestyles and preferences in its products.
Little Cat develops pet-related products based on the Internet of Things (IoT). Its main products include an LED-embedded smart cat wheel, a health-check smart cat litter, and a pet-exclusive smart body fat analyzer (scheduled for release in the first half of the year). All products can be operated in connection with an application (APP). The company plans to enter the pet business utilizing big data.
An Abko official said, "By leveraging Little Cat's intellectual property related to pets and app integration technology along with Abko's planning capabilities, production, and after-sales service infrastructure, we will secure new growth engines in the pet market."
