Paldo launches new niche ramen products 'Maeun Jjajang' and 'Maeun Curry'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Paldo announced on the 17th that it will launch two new Tteumsae Ramen products, 'Tteumsae Ramen Spicy Jjajang' and 'Tteumsae Ramen Spicy Curry.' With this new product launch, the Tteumsae Ramen brand lineup has expanded from three to five varieties.
Both new products are brothless ramen. Each product features 'Vietnamese Haneulcho' to enhance the spiciness. The key is the 100g large liquid soup base, which is more than three times the amount used in previous products and matches the weight of the noodles. The noodles are also characterized by their chewy and firm texture. Paldo's research team increased the protein content and thickened the noodles by about 25% to achieve this chewy texture.
'Tteumsae Ramen Spicy Jjajang' was created in collaboration with the modern Chinese restaurant brand CHAI797. It features a uni-jjajang style with minced pork, giving it a mild and savory flavor. The sauce is cooked in a direct-fire frying pot to enhance the delicious spiciness. 'Tteumsae Ramen Spicy Curry' boasts the clean spiciness of Vietnamese Haneulcho combined with the aroma of curry. Long-cooked onions and dried potato pieces add a subtle sweetness and texture.
