Hurim Robot Achieves Separate Operating Profit Surplus... Expected to Escape Management Item Crisis
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Hurim Robot announced on the 11th that it achieved separate 기준 sales of 26.5 billion KRW and operating profit of 950 million KRW last year.
Hurim Robot's separate 기준 sales increased by approximately 6.6 billion KRW compared to the previous period's 19.9 billion KRW, and operating profit increased by about 7.3 billion KRW from a 6.3 billion KRW deficit in the previous period. This appears to be the result of continuous efforts since 2020 to improve management efficiency and restructure the core business. As a result, the company recorded operating profit in the black for the first time in four years, escaping the risk of being designated as a management item.
On a consolidated basis, including Hurim Robot and its consolidated subsidiaries, total sales reached 30.6 billion KRW. This represents a 47.9% increase compared to approximately 20.7 billion KRW in the previous period. Operating loss improved by about 5.5 billion KRW, from an 8.9 billion KRW deficit to a 3.3 billion KRW deficit. However, net income turned from a 40.9 billion KRW surplus to a 39.1 billion KRW deficit. This is attributed to the stock holdings of Sambutogeon owned by Hurim Robot and other valuation losses, which are considered unrelated to the core business.
