Ministry of SMEs and Startups Supports Overseas Office Spaces for 'K-Startup' Expanding Worldwide
Recruiting Companies to Utilize Office Space within K-Startup Center
Newly Established 'K-Startup Center Integrated Platform'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will continuously recruit companies to utilize office spaces within the 'K-Startup Center' starting from the 14th.
The K-Startup Center is a dedicated overseas expansion support hub established locally to help domestic startup companies enter and settle into the world's leading innovative startup ecosystems. Since 2019, centers have been operated in seven countries, beginning with Israel, Seattle in the United States, and New Delhi in India, followed by Stockholm in Sweden, Helsinki in Finland, and Paris in France.
After selecting startups with domestic or international investment achievements or overseas sales records, the center supports their overseas expansion through local incubation programs.
In particular, four centers, including those in the United States and India, provide office spaces for startups, allowing companies not participating in incubation programs to use them as needed. Currently, there are a total of 133 office spaces across the four centers, including 29 private rooms and 104 shared offices.
Startups can utilize the office spaces for up to one year (maximum two years) or for short-term use during business trips. They can freely network with other companies within the center and receive services such as overseas expansion consultations and local information guidance.
Especially from this year, the 'K-Startup Center Integrated Platform' has been established to enable startups to apply for office space more easily and conveniently.
