Implementation of 'Nongsikpum Venture Startup Internship Program'... 174 Graduates in 4 Years
[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Kim Hyewon] The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced on the 13th that it will recruit participants for the '2022 Agri-food Venture Startup Internship Program' starting from the 14th to support youth entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector.
This program provides young people aspiring to start a business with the opportunity to gain practical experience at successful startups and acquire practical knowledge and startup ideas. Since 2018, 174 people have completed the program, and 78 have either started their own business or are preparing to do so.
The recruitment targets are 50 prospective entrepreneurs aged between 19 and 39 who have startup ideas in the agri-food sector, and 50 agri-food companies with at least three regular employees including the CEO who will serve as mentor companies, and with sales of over 100 million KRW. The internship allowance has been increased from 1.15 million KRW to 1.2 million KRW per month.
Selected interns will receive internship training for 2 to 3 months, working up to 30 hours per week through an agreement with the company.

After the program ends, interns will be evaluated based on the potential for developing their startup ideas and the sincerity of their internship activities. Outstanding interns may receive follow-up support such as commercialization funds for their startups.
