The won-dollar exchange rate reversed its decline and fell below the 1,200 won mark.
According to Seoul Foreign Exchange Brokerage on the 8th, the won-dollar exchange rate closed at 1,197.70 won, down 3.00 won from the previous trading day's closing price of 1,200.70 won.
On that day, the exchange rate started at 1,198.0 won, down 2.7 won from the previous day's close, and fluctuated between 1,196.3 and 1,199.0 won during the session.
It is analyzed that the foreign exchange market showed a cautious stance ahead of the release of the U.S. January Consumer Price Index (CPI) scheduled for the 10th.
