Kim Seong-jun, chosen as the Outstanding Gwangju Customs Officer of January, detected that a multinational corporation disguised taxable trademark fees and royalties as non-taxable advertising expenses, recovering approximately 700 million KRW.
He also contributed to preventing national wealth outflow by uncovering unreported foreign exchange transactions (about 2.9 billion KRW) and third-party foreign exchange payments (about 1.8 billion KRW) by the multinational corporation.
