Burger King Hired 372 Full-Time Employees Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Burger King is taking the lead in job creation by hiring 372 full-time employees last year.
According to the industry on the 7th, Burger King expanded the number of stores to 440 as of December last year and expanded industry-academic cooperation with universities nationwide.
They signed business agreements (MOUs) with a total of 22 universities, including Gangneung-Wonju National University, through which they hired 19 people. In the second half of the year, recruitment briefings were held at 12 universities, with more than 300 students attending to engage in in-depth discussions about career growth with Burger King.
As a measure to expand the recruitment of operations management positions, Burger King has employed more than 150 people in their 30s and 40s who faced career interruptions as full-time employees over four years since 2017 through the ‘Hope 3040 Reemployment Recruitment’ program. In addition, in 2021, more than 100 part-time workers were converted to full-time employees.

A Burger King official said, “Burger King is diversifying its talent recruitment methods in line with continuous growth in Korea,” adding, “In particular, industry-academic cooperation is a good synergy as it provides students with employment opportunities and Burger King with the chance to select outstanding talent.”
