Hyundai Motor Group Gathers with Advanced Car Technology Startups... Accepting Applications Until Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 7th that it will publicly recruit startups in the first half of this year through the 'Zero1 Accelerator,' an open innovation platform.
This recruitment covers 38 projects across seven fields, including six vehicle application technologies, five user experience projects, four electric vehicle charging projects, four mobility services, six smart logistics projects, eight smart construction projects, and five materials projects. If there is no project matching the recruitment fields, proposals under other themes are also accepted.
The Zero1 Accelerator is a program that finds startups with excellent capabilities based on ideas directly proposed by Hyundai Motor Group's in-house teams and collaborates on projects. It examines whether various innovative technologies can be strategically utilized. The in-house teams present the projects they want to pursue, participate in the selection process, and undertake projects together with the finally selected startups.

Startups that have completed corporate registration at the time of application are eligible to apply, and applications can be submitted through the website until the 7th of next month. The final results will be announced in April after document and interview evaluations. The selected startups will receive up to 50 million KRW in development funds and will be considered for equity investment. Since its inception in 2018, this program has involved 125 Hyundai Motor Group teams and 96 startups. There have been 80 collaboration projects and 51 equity investments executed.
