[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Son Seonhee] Ando Geol, Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance, tested positive for COVID-19 on the 5th.
The Ministry of Strategy and Finance announced that Vice Minister Ando tested positive in a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test result that morning and is currently isolating at home. After returning to the Government Sejong Complex on the 3rd, right after the Lunar New Year holiday, he went back home in the morning as a family member tested positive for COVID-19. Although the rapid antigen test was negative, he took a PCR test the previous day and received the final positive result that morning.
Not only Vice Minister Ando but also one of his secretaries tested positive for COVID-19 and has entered self-quarantine.
