Tesla Recalls 54,000 Vehicles in US Due to Autonomous Driving Software Defect
Vehicle Equipped with Beta Version of Full Autonomous Driving
Risk of Inability to Fully Stop at Red Lights
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young]American electric vehicle company Tesla plans to recall approximately 54,000 vehicles equipped with the Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta version in the United States, according to reports by the Associated Press and others on the 1st (local time).
This is due to concerns that the FSD software allows a 'rolling stop,' where the vehicle only slightly reduces speed without coming to a complete stop at stop signs, potentially causing safety risks at intersections where a full stop is required.
