Fire at Mixed-Use Complex in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul... Over 70 Evacuated
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] On the afternoon of the 30th, a fire broke out in a 19-story above ground and 4-story underground residential-commercial complex building in Namgajwa-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, and was extinguished after about an hour. The fire caused a commotion as about 70 people evacuated.
The fire started in a restaurant on the first floor of the building. There were no casualties, but the interior of the restaurant was burned. The fire department deployed 15 vehicles and 54 personnel and completely extinguished the fire at around 5:07 PM, 1 hour and 7 minutes after the fire broke out.
