Lecture on "Understanding the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act" for Establishing a Culture of Integrity
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 28th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, invited Lee Jeong-hee, Vice Chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, to hold the 352nd Boseong Autonomous Forum under the theme of "Understanding the Act on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest for the Establishment of a Culture of Integrity."
The theme of this year's first forum was selected as "Integrity," one of the values emphasized in the rapidly changing administrative environment.
Vice Chairman Lee introduced the government's anti-corruption policy direction focusing on the Act on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest for Public Officials through theories and cases, and explained in detail the legislative background of the Act and the ten standards of conduct for public officials.
In particular, this lecture on the Act on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest for Public Officials, which is set to be enforced on May 19, was evaluated as a topic that aligns with the social trend emphasizing the responsibility and transparency of employees.
An employee surnamed Kim, who attended the lecture, expressed, "It will be very helpful in the future as I learned the work standards before the law is enforced."
A county official said, "Although there are many restrictions such as social distancing due to COVID-19, we plan to establish and conduct an autonomous forum plan to improve the quality of life of residents and employees through real-time online live streaming," adding, "We will establish a more substantial autonomous forum plan in 2022."
