Seongnam-si Opens Remodeling Support Center on the 28th
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province opened a support center on the 28th to assist 120,000 households in remodeling apartment complexes within the city.
On the same day, Seongnam City held a plaque unveiling ceremony on the 7th floor of City Hall, attended by Eun Soo-mi, Mayor of Seongnam, remodeling housing association heads from five complexes in the city, and center staff.
The Remodeling Support Center will develop effective policies to support 247 complexes that are over 15 years old and aging, comprising 121,032 households. It will also work on improving unreasonable remodeling systems, expanding public support, and preparing customized remodeling implementation plans tailored to the characteristics of each complex.
The center will also manage the operation of the "Apartment Remodeling Advisory Group," which was established to support public remodeling projects.
Earlier, in November last year, the city secured momentum for project promotion by signing a business agreement on apartment remodeling project promotion with Ajou University Remodeling Research Group and eight construction companies.
Based on the ordinance concerning support for apartment remodeling, the remodeling fund (currently 75.1 billion KRW) will be increased to 100 billion KRW by the end of next year.
