As of 6 PM on the 27th, nearly 10,000 confirmed cases were reported nationwide.
According to the quarantine authorities and local governments including Seoul City, from midnight to 6 PM on this day, a total of 9,094 people tested positive for COVID-19 across 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
New confirmed cases on this day were 4,773 (52.5%) in the metropolitan area and 4,321 (47.5%) in non-metropolitan areas.
Confirmed cases were reported in all 17 cities and provinces. By region, the numbers were: Gyeonggi 2,002, Seoul 1,983, Busan 802, Incheon 788, Daegu 665, Gyeongbuk 521, Gwangju 419, Chungnam 328, Daejeon 320, Gyeongnam 318, Jeonbuk 257, Jeonnam 206, Gangwon 180, Ulsan 157, Chungbuk 92, Jeju 31, and Sejong 25.
