Prior to this meeting, Jinju City provided guidance on this year's small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) support policies, including support details and application methods for 42 projects across 9 business sectors such as funding support for SMEs and small business owners.
The executives of the Jinju Chamber of Commerce and Industry who attended the meeting exchanged various opinions on current issues related to the economy and the region, as well as difficulties faced in business operations.
In particular, they expressed difficulties regarding regulatory relaxation due to the gap between corporate vision and reality, and manpower supply issues caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor Joo said, “Despite many management difficulties such as labor shortages, rising labor costs, increased raw material prices, and uncertain economic conditions due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, I deeply appreciate the hard work, perseverance, and courage of our businesspeople who have stood together against COVID-19 over the past two years. Let us firmly hold the axis of our local economy in 2022 and make it a year of vigorous leap forward with the energy of a tiger.”
