Application for 'Happiness Voucher Support Project' to Enhance Welfare of Women Farmers Open Until Next Month 28
Exemption from Self-Payment Starting This Year... 200,000 Won Voucher Card Provided
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang County, Jeonnam Province, announced on the 26th that it is accepting applications for the ‘Women Farmers Happiness Voucher Support Project’ until the 28th of next month to improve the welfare and cultural and leisure life of women farmers.
The Women Farmers Happiness Voucher Project is a program that supports a voucher card worth 200,000 KRW per person annually for the cultural life of women farmers in rural fishing villages with poor cultural conditions.
Until last year, farmers had to bear 20,000 KRW, but from this year, the self-payment amount has been waived to reduce the burden on farmers.
The support target is women farmers aged 20 to 75 who have resided in Jeonnam Province for more than one year and are actually engaged in agriculture and fisheries. Those who have business registration and full-time occupations or receive similar welfare services under other laws are excluded.
Applications will be accepted at the town and township offices of each address until February 28, and cards will be issued at the county branch and local agricultural cooperatives in April.
