View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Choi Kang-wook, Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party of Korea, recently expressed concerns about the latest presidential election poll results showing Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, leading Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate. He stated, "I worry about the blind support from the elderly and the retaliatory support from the youth."
On the 25th, Choi wrote on Facebook, "Many people are anxious and worried about the poll results."
He added, "Some are becoming impatient with Lee's support rate being stuck in a box range, and some are despairing that Yoon's support rate is rising despite hearing the astonishing facts contained in Kim Geon-hee's recorded conversation."
He evaluated Yoon by saying, "A candidate who is practically treated like a fool even by his wife, who relies more on fortune-telling and deficiencies than on ability and will, and judges the world in black and white." He lamented, "It is truly distressing and regrettable that despite facing such a candidate, the race for the lead is still ongoing."
However, he emphasized, "I believe our people will ultimately trust and choose a candidate who will lead the country and enhance their lives and happiness," adding, "Because we have deeply experienced many times how much confusion and conflict arise when the president is abnormal or wrong."

He said, "The tears Lee showed during his speech in Seongnam were a sincere and truthful appeal," and claimed, "His sincerity reminded me of former candidate Roh Moo-hyun's famous speech."
He continued, "If we are not securing a definite advantage over a candidate who is impossible to confront rationally and logically, we need to overcome this by further publicizing Lee's genuine emotions and efforts," emphasizing again, "We can definitely win, and we will naturally win. The illusions and confusion will pass, and there is still time for the essence of the deception and tricks by some using the media to be revealed and evaluated."
Meanwhile, according to a presidential candidate support rate poll conducted by the polling agency 'Realmeter' on behalf of OhmyNews from the 16th to the 22nd, surveying 3,047 people nationwide aged 18 and over, Yoon received 42.0% support, while Lee received 36.8%.
Yoon's support increased by 1.4 percentage points compared to the previous survey, and Lee's rose by 0.1 percentage points. Accordingly, the gap between the two candidates, which was 3.9 percentage points in the previous survey, widened to 5.2 percentage points.
