This performance relocates the 14th Mapo-gu Boys and Girls Choir regular concert, which was nearly canceled due to COVID-19, to a virtual space called the metaverse. It was released through the Mapo Cultural Foundation's official YouTube channel and can be viewed anytime and anywhere without any time restrictions.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, classes such as singing, acting, and dancing were conducted using video conferencing programs. For the choir musical production, members wore virtual reality (VR) devices at home and transformed into avatars to fill the metaverse stage. This is a fully non-face-to-face regular concert created in the COVID-19 era.
Except for one widely known Cinderella folk song arranged as a choral piece, all other songs are original compositions. Composer Kim Jonggyun composed the music. Direction and script were handled by Seo Jaeyoung.

Gil Hyunmi, conductor of the Mapo-gu Boys and Girls Choir, said, "We were worried because we could not hold an in-person regular concert, but after hearing that the metaverse has recently expanded into theater and musical areas, we decided to challenge ourselves with a choir musical. Although there are many regrets, the children enjoyed the production process, and the response to this new form of performance has been enthusiastic."
