The Changsin 2 Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Area in Jongno-gu, which was decided to be lifted this time, is an area where the designation as a maintenance area is canceled because no application for designation was submitted by the day three years from the scheduled designation date, according to Article 20, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 1 of the "Act on Maintenance and Improvement of Urban and Residential Environments."

After the maintenance area was lifted according to the 2010 Seoul Metropolitan Government Urban and Residential Environment Maintenance Basic Plan, the area was selected last December as a candidate site for housing redevelopment projects under the 2025 Seoul Metropolitan Government Urban and Residential Environment Maintenance Basic Plan. Seoul plans to establish a maintenance plan introducing a maintenance support plan.
