78-Year-Old Traditional Ceremony Liquor 'Baekhwaseubok'... Brewed with 100% Domestic Rice
Lotte Chilsung Beverage introduced 'Baekhwaseubok,' made from 100% domestic rice, as the representative ceremonial liquor for the Lunar New Year. Baekhwaseubok, a traditional ceremonial liquor with 78 years of history, embodies the wish for the recipient's health and happiness, meaning "live long and enjoy blessings."
Baekhwaseubok has a long history since its launch in 1945 and is produced at the Gunsan plant, which boasts the largest production volume of cheongju in Asia under a single brand. It is made from 100% Korean rice, with about 30% of the rice husk polished away. The liquor is characterized by its soft and clean taste, achieved through low-temperature fermentation and aging methods. The alcohol content is 13%. To express the sincere heart of the Korean people, the label uses an oriental brush calligraphy style. The label and bottle cap are also gold-colored to emphasize the luxurious image of the ceremonial liquor.
