Korea Housing Builders Association Provides Fire Extinguishers to Fire-Vulnerable Groups

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] The Korea Housing Construction Association announced that as part of its social contribution activities, it conducted the '2022 Fire Extinguisher Support Project for Fire-Vulnerable Groups' on the 18th at the Small Business Federation's main conference room in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and in 14 locations nationwide.
The association, with the participation of the central association and 13 city and provincial chapters nationwide, supported 4,187 fire extinguishers (worth a total of 62.8 million KRW). This amount is 6.48 million KRW more than the support amount last year (a total of 56.32 million KRW).
At 10:30 a.m. on the same day, the central association held a fire extinguisher delivery ceremony at the Small Business Federation's main conference room and delivered fire extinguishers worth about 10 million KRW. The Small Business Federation plans to distribute the donated fire extinguishers to small business members nationwide.

Park Jae-hong, president of the Korea Housing Construction Association, said, "As small business owners are experiencing unprecedented difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and many small business owners are vulnerable to fire risks, we hope this will help improve fire safety even a little." He added, "We will continue to carry out sponsorship and volunteer activities for socially vulnerable groups."
