Gyeongbuk Sangju City Starts This Year's Senior Job Program... Recruiting 2,608 for 27 Projects Including Environmental Improvement
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Sangju City in Gyeongbuk has officially started this year's senior job and social activity support project.
According to Sangju City on the 17th, the senior job project is a program that supports various jobs and social activities to help the elderly live a vibrant old age.
It is divided into types such as public interest activity type for social participation activities of low-income seniors, social service type that allows seniors to utilize their experience and activity capabilities, and market-type projects that jointly operate specialized business groups such as small-scale stores.
This year, a total of 2,608 seniors will participate in 30 business groups in the senior job project.
The executing organizations include 24 eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers, the Korean Senior Citizens Association, Sangju Senior Welfare Center, and Sangju Senior Club.
The city conducted non-face-to-face workbook education to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and prepare for winter safety accidents according to each executing organization.
In addition, it plans to strictly comply with quarantine rules such as temperature checks for participants, mandatory mask-wearing, and maintaining distance between participants.
