The Jeju Matcha Strawberry Sandwich features a sweet and slightly bitter light green matcha cream made with Jeju-grown green tea and matcha, which pairs well with strawberries.
The two types of strawberry sandwiches use Seolhyang strawberries, known for their excellent aroma. Each sandwich contains four medium-to-high grade strawberries weighing about 15g each, with a sugar content of approximately 12 Brix. GS25 estimates that the amount of strawberries used this season will be about 500 tons based on raw material weight.
Previously, the Strawberry Sandwich, first introduced by GS25 in 2015 as the industry's first product, has sold over 18 million units despite being available only during a limited period from November to April each year.

A GS Retail official stated, “The Strawberry Sandwich has now established itself as a representative seasonal best-selling product requiring up to 10 tons of strawberries per day. We believe that expanding the lineup with the Jeju Matcha Strawberry Sandwich will also support our strawberry farmers, who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
