KT Skylife Alttel Phone Launches Two 'Gold Plans' for Seniors
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT Skylife announced on the 17th that it has newly launched two types of 'Gold Plans' for senior customers aged 65 and over.
Skylife's new Gold Plans are ▲Gold 4.0GB+ (10,900 KRW) ▲Gold 8GB+ (14,900 KRW). The new plans offer unlimited voice calls and texts, and even after using all the provided data, customers can use data unlimitedly at a speed of 1Mbps. The 1Mbps speed allows internet browsing, sending KakaoTalk messages, as well as watching low-quality videos on YouTube or Netflix.
Skylife explained that the new plans were launched reflecting the recent trend of increasing data usage among the senior demographic. Accordingly, the data speed provided after exhausting the monthly basic data was raised from 400kbps to 1Mbps, and a new 8GB data plan, which was not available in senior plans before, was introduced to expand consumer choices.
Additionally, when Skylife Mobile is combined with broadcasting (DPS) or broadcasting + internet (TPS), an additional monthly discount of 1,100 KRW is provided as a bundling benefit. If the mobile 'Gold Plan 4.0GB+' is combined with the satellite broadcasting 'skyAll' product, the monthly price is 22,000 KRW, and when combined with the '30% Discount Home Bundle' offering satellite broadcasting and 100M internet, the monthly price is 29,700 KRW, allowing customers to use comprehensive wired and wireless services including broadcasting, internet, and mobile. Also, senior subscribers who are already watching Skylife satellite broadcasting can receive the 1,100 KRW bundling discount benefit even if they subscribe to the Gold 4.0GB+ or 8.0GB+ plans.
