Cuchen Launches 'Mini Multigrain Rice Cooker'... "Targeting Even Single-Person Households"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Junhyung] Kitchen appliance company Cuchen is accelerating its focus on single- and two-person households by launching the 'IH Mini Rice Cooker,' specialized for cooking multigrain rice.
The IH Mini Rice Cooker recently introduced by Cuchen is an upgraded version of the company's existing product, the 'Premium Mini Rice Cooker,' with added multigrain rice cooking functions. The company explained that it launched this multigrain rice cooker targeting single- and two-person households in response to the growing domestic multigrain market.
In fact, demand for multigrain rice in Korea has been steadily increasing. According to a consumer survey conducted by Cuchen in 2020, 55% of respondents preferred multigrain rice. Additionally, the same year’s grain consumption survey by Statistics Korea showed that per capita multigrain consumption increased by 5.7% compared to the previous year.
This is why Cuchen added features such as healthy bean rice and frozen multigrain rice functions to the IH Mini Rice Cooker. The frozen multigrain rice function, first devised domestically by Cuchen, ensures that the rice does not become soggy after thawing and maintains the freshly cooked multigrain rice taste. Furthermore, through the 'Easy Steaming Specialized Menu,' frozen foods can be cooked moistly and softly.
Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of the new product, Cuchen is holding an event on its official shopping mall, Cuchen Mall, until the 28th of next month. Customers who purchase the product during the event period will receive double Cuchen Mall points. The company will also give a 10,000 KRW convenience store gift card to all participants who leave photo reviews on Cuchen Mall.

A Cuchen representative said, "Consumer survey results show that the frequency of bean consumption, such as Seoritae beans, is gradually increasing," adding, "Inquiries about multigrain menus for existing small rice cookers have also increased, so we renewed and launched the existing mini rice cooker."
