Emart Union "Welcomes Apology from Yongjin Hyung"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Korean Federation of Trade Unions' National Emart Labor Union welcomed the apology from Chung Yong-jin, Vice Chairman of Shinsegae Group, who posted a message on Instagram the day before that was seen as an apology regarding the controversy over 'Myeolgong' (anti-communism).
On the same day, the Emart Union issued a statement titled "Welcoming Yongjin Hyung's Apology," expressing gratitude for Vice Chairman Chung's apology that acknowledged the feelings of the union and employees.
The union added, "In these difficult and uncertain times due to COVID-19, rather than causing worry and concern to the public, let labor and management unite to provide good products and a safe and comfortable shopping environment."
