Denial of Allegations of "Construction Following Legal Procedures"

The Gwangju Police Agency Investigation Headquarters (Violent Crime Investigation Unit) announced on the 12th that they have booked site manager A (49) on charges of injury by professional negligence following the collapse accident of the newly constructed Hwajeong I-Park apartment structure, which caused injuries.
The accident occurred around 3:46 p.m. the previous day, when the exterior walls and structure from the 23rd to 38th floors collapsed while concrete was being poured on the rooftop of the 39-story apartment construction site.
As a result of the accident, one worker sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital, while six workers remain missing.
Mr. A is reported to deny the charges, stating that the construction was carried out following proper procedures.
