On the 12th, the Central Disease Control Headquarters stated in a briefing, "As of midnight today, about 70 CES attendees have been confirmed positive for COVID-19," adding, "The presence of the Omicron variant will be confirmed later."
In particular, the Disease Control Headquarters urged special caution among participants of the CES held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 5th to the 9th, due to the occurrence of multiple confirmed cases among attendees.
The headquarters emphasized, "CES attendees must undergo the Day 1 test after entry and the quarantine release test (on days 9 to 10 after entry) conducted by their local governments," and added, "Strictly adhere to self-quarantine and promptly report any symptoms during the quarantine period."
They also explained that even those exempt from quarantine for important business purposes among the attendees need to exercise caution.

The headquarters requested, "All quarantine-exempt individuals must take the Day 1 test at facilities near the airport, are advised to work from home for three days as an exception, and must ensure thorough testing on days 6 to 7 after entry."
