Focused Training on This Year's Changed Agricultural Policies and Rural Development Projects
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Jeonnam Boseong-gun announced on the 12th that it will conduct this year's New Year's Agricultural Practical Education non-face-to-face to quickly disseminate new farming technology information and plan the new year's farming.
The education will be held from the 13th of this month to the 18th of next month, targeting 1,000 people in 15 courses.
Applications for education and receipt of textbooks will be operated in a drive-thru manner at the farmers' counseling centers in the respective eup and myeon.
This education, conducted non-face-to-face in response to the special situation of COVID-19, involves professional instructors and item-specific experts, and is prepared to allow repeated learning by sharing YouTube live education and recorded videos via Band.
The subjects include specialized technical education for each item such as rice farming affected by abnormal weather, chili peppers, strawberries, kiwis, potatoes, and pumpkins, as well as focusing on farming tasks that had issues last year, such as compost maturity measurement and the use of agriculturally beneficial microorganisms.
In particular, repeated education on regional specialty items, safe pesticide use (including PLS), and agricultural policies will be planned, with a focus on educating and promoting this year's changed agricultural policies and rural development projects.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, "This education is expected to suggest the direction for agriculture and rural areas to advance in line with the changing times and contribute to improving agricultural competitiveness along with producing high-quality agricultural products," and added, "Based on the results of future education surveys, we plan to expand and newly establish various income crop courses tailored to the characteristics of each eup and myeon, and we hope for active participation from farmers."
