Appointee Kim graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and joined Hyosung Technology Research Institute in 1983. He later served as head of Hyosung’s Anyang Plant, Gumi Plant, and Spandex PU Plant, contributing to the growth of Hyosung’s spandex business. In particular, he served as head of the Vietnam branch and Dong Nai branch, helping the Vietnam production subsidiary establish itself as a global forward base. At the end of last year, he received the ‘Hyosung Person of the Year Award’ for leading the stable operation of the Vietnam plant through swift crisis response amid the COVID-19 crisis.

View original imageAppointee CEO Lee graduated from Konkuk University with a degree in Chemistry and is a chemical industry expert and technology manager who previously served as head of Samsung Electronics’ LCD Manufacturing Center and CEO of Wonik Materials. He joined Hyosung Chemical as head of Neocam PU in 2018 and has been serving concurrently as CEO of Hyosung Chemical Co., Ltd. since March 2020. He is particularly recognized for successfully leading the establishment of Hyosung Chemical’s first global production base, the polypropylene plant in Vietnam, overcoming the global pandemic crisis.
