Izmedia's CCM Inspection Equipment Business Sales Soar... "Expecting New Business Momentum Based on Existing Operations"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] The sales of existing business units of Izmedia, a KOSDAQ-listed company, are rapidly growing. Along with this, profitability has also improved, and the company is expected to turn a profit this year.
On the 12th, Izmedia stated, "Sales of the ultra-compact camera module (CCM) inspection equipment business unit are expected to grow by about 100% compared to the previous year," adding, "Considering the purchase order (PO) volume in the fourth quarter of last year, rapid sales growth is expected to continue in the first quarter of this year."
The company explained that strong market demand in the CCM equipment sector and the superiority of the company's proprietary technology are driving performance growth. As the metaverse industry, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and extended reality (XR), grows, demand for related hardware is also increasing, raising expectations for Izmedia's existing business, which holds proprietary technology.
Izmedia is focusing on diversifying customers and securing sales stability based on CCM market growth, together with newly appointed management last year. As a result, the company secured new global customers such as Foxconn, Sharp, and Cowell last year and plans to continue discovering additional customers to sustain performance growth.
A company representative said, "We consider the CCM-related business as the 'eyes' of the metaverse, which is a core market in the 4th industrial revolution era," adding, "We proactively diversified our customer base to create synergy with Izmedia's existing business."
They continued, "As a result, we successfully delivered VR-related testing equipment to global metaverse companies with excellent performance," emphasizing, "Expectations for explosive growth through metaverse hardware are increasing."
Founded in 2002, Izmedia supplies inspection equipment to domestic camera module specialists such as Patron, MCNEX, Cammsys, and Namu. Additionally, the company supplies equipment to overseas customers in China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and other regions.
The company stated, "After completing business efficiency improvements and profitability enhancement, we expect to turn a profit within the year and achieve a full-scale turnaround," emphasizing, "This year will be the first year of a new leap forward amid favorable market conditions."
