Gwangyang, Night View Spot Like Sprinkled with Silver Powder
Sunshine Beach Tourism, Gubongsan Observatory, Haedalbyeol Astronomical Observatory, Neuraengigol Natural Recreation Forest, etc.
My own place to add inner scenery and create special moments
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seonsik] Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do boasts beautiful scenery and night views befitting its tourism slogan, "Gwangyang Travel Shining Day and Night."
In particular, during the winter season when the temperature difference between day and night is severe, there are many beautiful night view spots that decorate the winter night like sparkling starlight.
The city announced that it introduces places that add inner scenery to the beautiful night views, as if sprinkled with silver powder, such as Sunshine Beach Park and Neuraengigol Natural Recreation Forest, making the moment's experience special.
Sunshine Beach Park unfolds a subtle symphony of light, drawing beautiful melodies with Kumho Bridge, Gilho Railway Bridge, Gilho Bridge, Yi Sun-sin Bridge connecting bridge, and the coastline.
The light that gently seeps into the softly rippling waves of Gwangyang Bay excites the hearts of viewers and completes the urban night view in harmony with Yi Sun-sin Bridge, Rainbow Bridge, and Haeoreum Overpass.
Gubongsan Observatory, established as a landmark of Gwangyang, boasts a brilliant night view worthy of the "Top 100 Night Views" by the Korea Tourism Organization, but it is also a must-visit spot during the day.
Climbing the winding road to the summit at 473 meters above sea level, a panorama of Gwangyang Port, Yi Sun-sin Bridge, and Gwangyang Steelworks unfolds, and you can also overlook Suncheon, Hadong, and Namhae in the distance.
As you get immersed in the red sunset falling over Gwangyang Bay, dusk quietly arrives, and the metal art beacon that shone silver transforms into a brilliant golden light, emitting a mysterious aura.
Gwangyang Port, Yi Sun-sin Bridge, and Gwangyang Steelworks, once dynamic scenes of life, now form a sea of light, sparkling like sun glints on water.
At Bonggang's Haedalbyeol Observatory, you can find winter constellations that decorate the winter night like jewels, such as Sirius, Betelgeuse, and Cassiopeia.
It is a place where artificial light is blocked enough to see with the naked eye as well as through telescopes, making it as romantic as the stars rising in Alphonse Daudet's stories.
Inside the hemispherical planetarium, you can lie down under a blanket, warm your cold hands and feet, and observe planets projected on the ceiling.
Neuraengigol Natural Recreation Forest, located at the edge of Baegunsan Mountain at an altitude of 450 meters touching the sky, is a paradise where thousands of cypress trees emit phytoncides, and at night, 14.3 million LEDs form a Milky Way.
At the "Mystical Space Above the Clouds" glamping site, couples and families can spend a peaceful and romantic winter night in nature.
Park Soon-gi, head of the Tourism Division, said, "To see the true face of any city, you must travel its alleys and nighttime."
He added, "Winter, when the sun sets early, is a good season to enjoy sunsets and night views," and "You will fall in love with Gwangyang's sparkling night views shining day and night."
