Free Distribution of Handwriting Font by Artist Kim Hwan-ki
On the 11th, 'KCC Kim Hwan-gi Font' and 'KCC Jung Beom Font' Released
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Copyright Commission announced on the 10th that they will release 'KCC Kim Hwan-gi Font' and 'KCC Jeong Beom Font' on the 11th.
'KCC Kim Hwan-gi Font' is a typeface created based on the handwritten diaries and letters of artist Kim Hwan-gi, which are held by the Hwan-gi Museum of Art. The production process will be exhibited at the Hwan-gi Museum of Art until the 23rd. 'KCC Jeong Beom Font' is a handwriting style evaluated as the most versatile in the 'National Public Works Treasure Hunt Sharing Exhibition' handwriting category. It was created based on the handwriting of teacher Bae Jeong-beom from Gyeonggi Arts High School.

Both fonts are open font licenses that can be freely used as long as they are not sold as-is. They are available through the free font menu on the Sharing Yard website and the Safe Font File Collection. They will also be distributed through Hangul Office, Clip Art Korea's Good Font, and others. An official stated, "We will continue to support the public in safely and freely using free font files."
