Ostem Implant Corrects Embezzlement Amount from 188 Billion to 221.5 Billion Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] On the 10th, Osstem Implant corrected the embezzlement amount by employee Lee Mo from 188 billion KRW to 221.5 billion KRW. The ratio of embezzlement amount to Osstem Implant's equity at the end of 2020 increased from 91.81% to 108.18%.
It is known that the previous disclosure related to the embezzlement did not include the amount returned by Lee.
The company explained, "The initially disclosed embezzlement amount of 188 billion KRW was calculated based on the amount of damage incurred," and "The corrected disclosed embezzlement amount of 221.5 billion KRW includes the amount returned by the accused after embezzlement."
It added, "We confirmed that the accused withdrew 10 billion KRW and 23.5 billion KRW in the fourth quarter of 2021 and 2020, respectively, and then returned the amounts," and "We additionally submitted related materials to the investigative authorities today."
The final amount of damage caused by the embezzlement remains 188 billion KRW.
