Gwangju University Selected for Social Entrepreneur Development Project for 9 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University announced on the 10th that it has been selected for nine consecutive years as a startup support institution in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region for the "Social Entrepreneur Fostering Project," which systematically supports the entire process of social enterprise startup.
The "Social Entrepreneur Fostering Project," hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency, recruits early startup teams and supports ▲startup space ▲startup funding ▲mentoring and education program operation ▲resource linkage ▲designation and follow-up management of (preliminary) social enterprises.
Gwangju University is recruiting participants for this Social Entrepreneur Fostering Project until the 24th and plans to provide differential support ranging from 15 million KRW to a maximum of 50 million KRW per team depending on the project content.
The eligibility criteria are early startup teams preparing to start a business with the intention to sustainably operate a social enterprise, and teams that have not started a business or have been established for less than two years as of the application deadline are eligible to apply.
Applications can be submitted by forming a team of three or more aiming for (preliminary) social enterprise certification through the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency's "Social Enterprise Integrated Information System" website application window or by mail or visit to the Gwangju University Social Enterprise Project Group.
Accordingly, Gwangju University plans to hold a non-face-to-face online (ZOOM) briefing session at 10:30 AM on the 11th and conduct project briefings on the 13th and 18th at the meeting room of Dream People Co., Ltd. in Suncheon, Jeonnam, and the startup education room at Gwangju University.
