Police Crack Down on Four Late-Night Entertainment Bars Operating Illegally in Songpa-gu
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Four nightlife establishments in Songpa-gu, Seoul, operating late at night without following quarantine rules, were caught.
According to the police on the 8th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul conducted a crackdown at around 12:40 a.m. at four nightlife establishments in Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, detaining a total of 36 people, including four business owners and 32 customers, on charges of violating the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
Police, responding to a report that "there are nightlife establishments operating with their doors closed," guarded the scene for about two hours before catching the first establishment. Subsequently, they cracked down on three other establishments in the same building. During the operation, some customers attempted to flee.
