Netmarble Appoints Lee Seung-won as Global CEO; CFO Do Gi-wook Promoted to Co-CEO

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Netmarble announced on the 7th that through a regular executive personnel appointment, CEO Lee Seung-won has been promoted to President and newly appointed as Global Head. Dogi-uk, the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), was appointed as the co-CEO replacing Lee.
The newly appointed President Lee will take on the role of Global Head, focusing on global business by being deployed to manage key overseas subsidiaries such as Kabam, SpinX, and Jam City.
Appointed co-CEO Do is expected to be in charge of business strategy and management. Do graduated from Chung-Ang University with a degree in Business Administration, and has successfully carried out investments and mergers and acquisitions while serving as the head of finance for CJ E&M (game division) and Netmarble’s financial strategy department.
CEO Kwon Young-sik will continue to oversee the game business as before, maintaining the co-CEO system.
Netmarble stated, "This decision is part of Netmarble’s efforts to complete a ‘strong Netmarble’ by strengthening global business competitiveness, marking 2022 as the first year of a new leap forward. We expect that the strategic management system responsible for each specialized field will further enhance Netmarble’s competitiveness in the game business."
