[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A professor affiliated with a university hospital has been sued for encouraging COVID-19 vaccination despite being aware of the vaccine's side effects.
The Free Korea Patriotic Corps and the Future Opening Young Lawyers Association filed a complaint on the 6th with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against Professor Cheon Eun-mi of the Respiratory Medicine Department at Ewha Mokdong Hospital, accusing her of injury and professional negligence resulting in death or injury.
They claimed, "Professor Cheon herself experienced vaccine side effects and, despite knowing the risks, encouraged vaccination, thereby assisting the public in receiving the vaccine without awareness of the dangers and suffering harm from side effects."

They added, "There are suspicions that Professor Cheon, as a medical professional, failed to properly fulfill her duty to fully explain the risks of the vaccine," and stated, "We cannot help but hold Professor Cheon strictly accountable for neglecting her medical duties and ethics and disregarding the lives of the people."
